Yes, you read that right. We’re using water to manifest. And no, we didn’t just make that up.
It’s 2023 and the girls are eating up manifestation content right now. From methods to techniques to success stories – we just cannot seem to get enough. It’s like we all woke up one day and suddenly discovered the magic that is the Law of Assumption (or the Law of Attraction, if that’s more your cup of tea).
But regardless of what practice you follow, the bottom line is: we all want to manifest and we want to do it fast. But, this also begs the question of how?
Since manifestation’s recent rise in social media popularity, it seems like everyone has a different answer for how to get your manifestations quickly. But for this article, we want to take a look at a tried and true (and possibly underrated) practice – using water for manifestation.
does it actually work?
Now, before you write this off as just another pointless “method” to overcomplicate manifesting, there’s actually some interesting research that connects water and words of affirmation.
According to experimentation conducted by Japanese scientist, Dr. Masaru Emoto, the molecular structure of H2O can be altered based on water’s ability to retain memories and that positive thoughts/words can positively impact its state.
With the use of high-speed microscopic photography, Emoto was able to capture images of ice crystals formed by water that was exposed to high vibrational energy prior to freezing versus water that was exposed to negative, more adverse energy.
He found that the water that was exposed to positive words of affirmation produced crystals that were more beautifully formed, symmetrical, and aesthetically pleasing.
The water that was exposed to negative words/energy produced crystals that were boring, incomplete, and asymmetrical – just generally less attractive.
Based on his findings, Dr. Emoto believed that “Water is the mirror that can show us what we cannot see. It is the blueprint for our reality, which can change with a single, positive thought. All it takes is faith if you’re open to it.”
And we think he might be on to something.
So with that in mind, let’s circle back to how we can use water as a vehicle for manifestation.
how to use water to manifest
There are many different ways to incorporate water into your manifesting practices because remember – no matter what method you decide to immerse yourself in, your intention and belief are always going to be what fuels your manifestation the most.
That said, let’s take a look at a few easy techniques you can start putting into practice today.
charging your water
This technique is very simple and to the point. “Charging” your water is literally just the practice of speaking positive intentions into your water before you drink it.
From what we just learned about Dr. Emoto’s studies, we know that water is energetically receptive.
Speaking positive affirmations into your water before you drink – even at the most basic level – can be uplifting and encouraging, especially when it comes to manifestation.
Before your next sip of water, try speaking a few words of affirmation to it.
I am happy.
I am at ease.
All of my desires are fulfilled.
Simple and sweet. Okay, now for a bit more of an involved method.
2 cups method
So for this technique, you’re going to want to grab:
- Two cups (obviously). Preferably glass, if you can.
- Two sticky notes (or two pieces of paper).
- A pen or a marker.
- Incense or sage (this is optional, but great if you have it. Burn either one and use it to cleanse around your cups and the items you’re performing the method with).
Now, before you begin, take a few deep breaths and try to clear your mind of any noise or clutter. It doesn’t have to be a full-on meditation, but that’s never a bad idea.
Next, you’re going to grab your papers or sticky notes.
On the first one, you’re going to write down your current circumstance – whatever it is you’re presently wanting to change.
For example, if your finances are currently poor, you could write something like: debt, limited funds, behind on bills, no disposable income, etc.
Now, on your second paper, write down your desired outcome.
Sticking with the example of finance, this would look something like: financial freedom, $10k/month, rapidly growing income, etc.
Next, stick your first paper (your current circumstance) onto Cup A and stick your second paper (your desired outcome) onto Cup B.
Now, take Cup A and fill it with water. Remember, this is your current circumstance.
Hold this cup close to you and close your eyes.
Now, visualize what you want your current circumstance to look like.
Visualize what your life would look like if you had your desired outcome.
If that’s financial freedom, what would that look like for you? How would that feel? What would you do? Spend a few minutes immersing yourself in the world of your desire and really allow yourself to feel gratitude.
You’re not worried about money. Money is taken care of. Money is the least of your worries. You feel light. You feel calm. You feel happy.
Give yourself more than a few minutes, just to relish in your visualization.
When you feel satisfied and ready, take Cup A and pour the water into Cup B, watching as you fill your cup of desires.
Continue to feel that same gratitude for the life you just visualized.
Now, drink the water from Cup B. Again, you should still be feeling immense gratitude.
When you’re finished, that’s it! Continue on with your day, carrying the fact that you know your manifestations are yours to have.
That means, no checking your bank account all day to see if “anything happened.” Or if you’re manifesting a relationship or an SP, no checking your texts all day wondering “when is this going to work?”
Remember, at the end of the day, all of your manifestations are fueled by your belief – believe it is done and it will be.
